I had my first solo show January 3rd, 2013 at the Ohio Art League Gallery in Columbus, Ohio, a positive experience that I am looking forward to replicating. You can read about the show here: Delineations by Megan Mosholder, a response by Rebecca.
I learned a lot from this experience. First of all, I was very nervous to have my first show and felt that I was totally unprepared. I had just finished my MFA thesis show and was still recovering from that work. I also was struggling to create a show with limited supplies and limited funds to purchase supplies. Often I thought about canceling the show or asking for an extension but decided that when opportunity knocks you have to open the door and walk through. I believe the only luck in this world is the kind you create for yourself.
